#Be A Buddy 5K, put on by The Parker Foundation for Autism and Child Development (FL 501c3, EIN 47-2763126, serving Brevard County since 2015). Sat Oct 17 2026 8:00am at Space Coast Field of Dreams, 3053 Fell Road, West Melbourne FL. Individual 5K $35 ($20 under 16), Virtual 5K $35, free kids 1 mile after. The race celebrates the Be a Buddy Initiative: Peer Buddy and Buddy Ambassador programs, bullying prevention education, and safety initiatives connecting families with law enforcement and first responders (first responder tie). Post-race Family Health and Fitness EXPO with adaptive sports stations (tennis, basketball, soccer) led by student volunteer Buddies, Unity Banner, trick or treating. Owns the race outright.
