From application to finish line, here's how Operation WarriorFit gets warriors to the starting line.
Fill out our simple online application confirming your service status. We operate on the honor system, trusting that those who apply meet our eligibility criteria.
Applications are reviewed weekly by our team. Once approved, you'll receive a welcome email and be added to our participant network.
Browse our database of 200+ partnered races and select the events that match your interests and goals. Can't find a specific race? Submit a request!
Most races run as a lottery so access is fair. Enter free any time before the draw, which runs automatically at noon ET, 12 weeks before the event. If the draw does not fill every spot, the race opens to first-come, first-served. Spartan events are first-come, first-served. If you're selected for a race with a service fee, a small admin fee secures your entry — many races are completely free.

We verify that applicants fall into one of our eligible categories: veterans, active duty, reservists, National Guard, or first responders.
Non-Spartan races 12+ weeks out run as a free, random lottery, drawn automatically at noon ET 12 weeks before the event. Every entry has an equal chance — entering early gives no advantage, and no one on our team picks who gets in.
Spartan events, races less than 12 weeks away, and any lottery that does not fill all its spots are first-come, first-served: approved applicants are served in the order requests are received. No favoritism, no exceptions.
We are building a points-based system to reward accountability and participation. Early activity is being tracked and may be recognized when the system launches.

Anyone who has served in the U.S. military and has been honorably discharged.
Currently serving members of any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces.
Reserve and National Guard members, whether currently serving or retired.
Law enforcement, firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, and nurses who serve our communities.
Operation WarriorFit provides entries to any event or competition that promotes an active and healthy lifestyle. From your first 5K to Ironman triathlons, obstacle courses to powerlifting meets, we support warriors in finding their passion and pushing their limits.
